VTG Eligibility Indicator

You may be eligible for a government-subsidised place in a vocational training course. This is called the Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG).

If you are eligible the government will contribute to the cost of training.

Only a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) can say for sure whether you are eligible for a certain course, but the eligibility indicator below will give you an indication of your eligibility.

Your eligibility will be determined by your RTO when you enrol in a vocational training course.

Entry Requirements

The Victorian Training Guarantee?

Vocational education and training is a great way to gain a nationally recognised qualification that will improve your skills to the workforce or enhance your career or job prospects.

The Victorian Training Guarantee is making training more accessible to the people who do not have a post school qualification and want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold. The Victorian Training Guarantee Entitles Eligible Students to a government subsidised place through one of Victorias Accredited Training Institutes or private Registered Training Organisations.

Am I eligible for the The Victorian Training Guarantee?

A majority of students coming to Aust-Link will be eligible for funding in one form or another depending on the course. To determine if you are eligible please contact our office during business hours or send an email to petp@aust-link.com.au

What are the fees?

in 2011, The Victorian Government will cover between 70-90% of the cost. Fees are capped, so there is a maximum regardless of how much the government subsidised training you complete in the year.

Can you get assistance with paying fees?

Concessions are available for study at the Certificate I to IV levels for health care card holders studying in a government place. Apprentices and trainees may be eligible for a tuition fee concession at any course lever, while indigenous students minimum fee in a government subsidised training place.
